Robert's Ramblings: Jamal Igle takes over art duties on Zatanna

A new year is almost upon us and I can say that I am greatly looking forward to the fact that Jamal Igle will be taking over full time art duties on Zatanna with issue 11.  I first became a fan of Mr. Igle with his short but awesome run on Nightwing.  In that short time he put his own mark on the character and I was very disappointed when he left the book.  Even though his run on the book was short, I consider him to be one of the few names I associate with being a definitive Nightwing artist along with Scott McDaniel and George Perez.  Mr. Igle taking over art duties is fantastic news because it has rejuvenated my enthusiasm about this book.  When I look at this book, it arguably has one of the best sets of creators currently in the industry.  Paul Dini is writing, Jamal Igle is on interior art and Adam Hughes will be providing covers.  This is truly an “A” team.  I look forward to seeing what Mr. Igle does visually with the character and I look forward to acquiring original art from this upcoming run.  Anyone who is looking for a fun, enjoyable read with gorgeous art should give Zatanna a serious look starting with issue 11.  You won’t be disappointed.
Litnu txen emit,
Robert
